Dr. Patricia Haught received her undergraduate degree from Fairmont State College and her master's and EdD from West Virginia University. She currently coordinates the EDP 101 program, “Learning Strategies for Academic Success” and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in education and educational psychology. In the summer, she teaches the study strategies part of a summer intervention program for at-risk, native WV college-bound students.
In addition to her training in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Learning and Development, Haught holds a graduate certificate in gerontology. As a result of these joint interests, she has completed research in the area of adult problem solving. She is also interested in medical education as it pertains to studying and learning and has co-authored articles on reading and healthcare professional students. Haught is also a certified social studies teacher for grades 5 through 12.
